Shreeja, the founder and creative soul behind Sil'Alankara, grew up in Madurai, where the historic Meenakshi Amman Temple's beauty deeply influenced her.
Growing up in a family deeply rooted in the jewellery business, Shreeja was immersed in the art from an early age. Surrounded by intricate designs, precious gemstones & antique pieces that reflect her region's heritage, her fascination grew further.This led her to study Jewellery Design and Gemology, transforming her passion into a profession and eventually giving birth to Sil'Alankara.
Sil'Alankara emerged from Shreeja's dream to merge traditional elegance with a fresh, modern approach. Every piece reflects her vision, weaving together heritage and contemporary style, designed to make the Wearer/Alankari feel both graceful and empowered.

Every story has roots, and ours begin in the heart of Madurai—a city steeped in tradition, artistry, and devotion. More than 30 years ago, Sri Balagopalan Jewellery Mart was founded here with a simple promise: to craft jewellery with honesty, skill, and meaning. Over the decades, it has become a part of countless families’ lives, marking their celebrations, milestones, and memories.
From these roots, Sil’alankaraa was born. Founded by the daughter of Sri Balagopalan, it carries forward this legacy into a new space an online silver jewellery store shaped for today’s women who live between tradition and modern life.
